Can You Use Isopropyl Alcohol To Clean Glasses
I keep rubbing booze in a small 2 oz. spray bottle. I employ it to clean my glasses. Y'all could also apply your own homemade drinking glass cleaner, but I find it easier to just fill up it with the rubbing booze. Don't forget to label the bottle "Eyeglass Cleaner" or "Rubbing Booze".

The identify where I purchase my eyeglasses said to mix equal parts rubbing booze and water (I use distilled). Safe for antiglare lenses. Works just like the stuff I used to buy at the shop.

I've been an optician for over xv years. I tin can tell you that with the coatings applied to lenses, using straight rubbing alcohol ALL of the time to make clean your glasses is not a good idea. Over fourth dimension, it will start peeling your scratch coating and anti reflective blanket if you have it on your lenses. Too - NEVER use Windex or anything similar that. In a pinch, run glasses under water so dust or anything that could scratch your lenses.
So rub with lotion free dishwashing soap and rinse. Use soft cotton textile to dry. NEVER wipe your lenses unless they are moisture (just grit particles can scratch lenses). Also, always use a cloth that y'all've purchased (100% cotton) when yous wipe wet lenses. The but time you would use straight rubbing booze on your eyeglasses is if they had a greasy residue that you could not become off. Hope this helps.

If your eyeglasses are fabricated with plastic lenses, you should never use rubbing alcohol or vinegar on them, unless yous want them to break downwardly quicker! Also, if you have anti-reflective coating or any other coating on them, you will actually ruin your glasses.
